The
Foundation embraces the belief that the arts have a significant role in the
education both for their intrinsic value and for the ways in which they can
enhance general academic achievement, social development and emotional growth.
Our
team has been working within the community for more than six years to encourage
art, theatre and musical culture to our youth. In the spring of 2006, we were
proud to unveil the Stafford Township Arts Center (STAC) and its
state-of-the-art OceanFirst Theater. In support of the Foundation's mission,
STAC and the OceanFirst Theater offers professional LIVE theatre, music, dance
and visual art exhibits to students as well as to local and regional audiences.
Not only will STAC continue to be a source for artistic and cultural enrichment
in a previously underserved area, but by way of collaborations with the Stafford
Township School District and nearby academic and business leaders, STAC will
strive to become a resource for life-long educational enrichment as well.
You
have the opportunity to become a part of the magic of performance through
participation and financial support of our efforts. You may even designate 100%
of your support for STAC and its future programming.
We welcome discussing the Foundation's other equally valuable endeavors with
you, including our pre-k and extended day programs, the annual Young at Art and
Hall of Fame programs, as well as a growing list of artistic and education
possibilities.
